The grease filter is the first line of defence for any kitchen extract system and as such if it is not kept clean the pull through from the kitchen will be affected and in turn the temperature will rise and rise.

Another critical decision is what type of filter to use - baffle or mesh, stainless steel, galvanised steel or aluminium.
